Welcome to Abitha's Portfolio of Spring 2023
Serene Mischief
When entering your twenties a need to confront your past for your own future arises - this portfolio is a documentation of Abitha's attempt to combat the sudden arrival of adulthood and bring their childhood with them in a suitcase - or a trench coat - into their multimedia career. Emphasizing curation out of curiosity in both workplace and day to day creations.
Welcome to Abitha's yearly themed capstone portfolio containing the work they are proudest of - this past year they have focused on vulnerability and reclaiming their childhood among the trials of transition. Highlighting, the serenity within chaos paired with the mischievous playfulness of adolescence - and let's not forget the friendship and magic.

Literary Work and Research
The Dichotomy of “US” - A study of the film Us by Jordan Peele. Abitha had the honor of being invited to present this at the twenty fifth annual Thematic Option Research Conference. Presented in this work is a dissection of the political and social economic implications of Us and how it still reflects and affects both the way we perceive artistry and the world today.
A Dramaturgical Report: The Caribbean Diaspora - Historical research on Caribbean history, both pre and post colonization periods. Used as a guide to help actors and the audience understand the context around the story of Timoune: A young Caribbean girl. This was done in support of the Musical Theater Repertory (MTR) Company's production of Once on This Island at USC.
